I can reboot infinite times and the RAM would stay 8gb, and as I shut down and power on again, it would revert to 4gb again.

I can't even say that my RAM port is damaged because whenever it gets detected, it works flawlessly, it passes all RAM tests until I shut the pc down. Now, today single reset didn't work, I did it multiple times and it worked again. I used the reset trick again and it got detected. Next day it was back to 4gb with the crucial RAM being detected again in SPD but not by BIOS. Now, I bought a new 4gb Crucial stick when I lost all hopes and attached it in the laptop and it got detected in BIOS at an instant and my laptop worked fine that day. When my 8gb ram is detected, it goes into Dual channel and RAM becomes 8gb as expected.
The RAM that came with my laptop pre-installed was a SK-Hynix model as mentioned below. Memtest86 also detects the module, while when I got the 8gb ram, i tested it on Memtest86 and it didn't yield any errors either. Meanwhile during all this, CPU-z detected the memory in the SPD section. And after a time even after infinite BIOS resets, it just stopped showing up for a day or two and after 2-3 days the temp fix worked again. But over the time this temporary fix became worse, sometimes it takes 30-40 resets to get detected in the bios.
Then, the next day again I got the same error and reset the bios again but nothing happened, so I did that 2-3 times and it got detected again. And for the very first time when I did that, my whole 8192mb ram showed up. I contacted the online chat support of Lenovo and they asked me to reset the bios to defaults to fix it. Recently, I faced an error that the external slot didn't detect my ram and I was only shown 4gb of motherboard ram. Hey, so I have a Lenovo Ideapad 320-15IKB laptop with i5-7200u, 8gb ram (4gb on motherboard and 4 in external slot).
